Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Envision El Salvador!

Image
Hello Everyone! We wanted to stop by and let you know what are the latest news at our Envision Site. The fall tour went very well, we had the chance to visit 15 churches total and share about what God is doing through our ministry here. We thank God for his care to us (Kevin and my family) through all the people that were in charge of the different events at churches and the ones we had the privilege to be hosted by at their own houses, it was awesome and we were very well taken care. Big Thanks to all of those families! La Fuente: We had a very good year at La Fuente. It’s always hard to keep a good percentage of the kids registered in the program through out the year, but this year we ended up with at least 85% of the kids that started to come to the program since the beginning of the year, so Praise God for that!  A new phase is starting in 2018. As of the end of this year, the program was taking place at a public school that we partner with but we were only a

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you One sure thing we know is God is Good. As you know from  our last entry, we had mentioned that around this time last  year, we had suffered through a difficult financial period not  know if our ministry would survive the fiscal year. We rely  financially on teams sent here from all over the United States.  We want to thank the Lord for his provision and mercy. We  are now at 100% for this year. Praise the Lord! We love to  thank everyone who prayed for us and ask to keep praying for  Lord to continue His ministry here in El Salvador.  Teams have came & gone They have left a lasting impression with our communities. That includes our two local C&MA churches, opportunities like visiting church members to encourage other family members to atten

It’s pouring!

Hello, it has been a while! Even though its has been literally pouring here in El Salvador because of the rainy season, in fact, what I really meant was that God is pouring blessings on us through all the ST teams. So far we are about halfway through our summer. By this time last year we suffered through hard times because of the lack of teams visiting our site to do ministry along side us, we began asking God for help, so once again we can say that   God is faithful   and has answered our prayers. And He has. It’s been an amazing summer investing in the lives of these kids from La Fuente as we plug-in teams to work in our daily ministry that involves a lot all the different projects for La Fuente. We had the chance (with one of the teams) to go visit some of the families of these kids. It was very encouraging to hear from the mothers on how they have seen the change in their children lives and their demeanor has had a transformation since we’ve began work with them these past two

God is good!

Hello brothers and sisters! I’m happy to share with you this new update on how things are developing at our Envision site here in El Salvador. Programs from Broken: God was able to help another deported fellow through the Diaspora ministry over the last few weeks. This guy was actually deported to El Salvador a while ago, but due to gang threats because of his tattoos, he had to leave the place he was living and come to San Salvador with nothing. He was homeless without any support. Someone directed him to us and (gracias a Dios) we were able to connect him with a work place and help get his documents in order so he could go  apply for a position at the call center. He got the job! God also provided a temporary place for him to stay while he looked for a place to live. Now he’s on his own and connected to our friends from Hungry Church. (For any who didn’t read previous updates, Hungry Church is now out of Envision and starting the process to  become affiliated with the Nati

Some News

Hello everyone! First of all, my apologies for taking so long with news from our Envision Site, but I wanted to make sure about things before sharing them. I hope that God is pouring many blessings on you and that his goodness and mercy are following you every day of your lives. I am happy to let you know that we have Laura Rodriguez back with us! She's a resident now and will be staying for 2 years, Lord willing. She's still trying to adjust to being back and figuring out the best way to organize her time in order to keep up with her responsibilities. Part of her job is to spend time with Claudia to help her improve her English and also help with Diego. Please pray for her to get settled down soon. Andrea Shetterly is still in the States going through the fundraising process. Pray that she will get the funds needed to come back soon. We need her down here. We praise God also because there is another girl that decided to come down and work with us in ministry. He

Successes and Challenges

Hello prayer warriors! I’m glad to comeback to you for the first time this year to give you some news about out ministry. Successes  1. Hungry Church is doing better, we were able to put together a leadership team already and also are very excited about what is coming next for the church. The multipurpose room we have at the Wired Center is already too small for the amount of people that are coming to the gatherings every Saturday. We are anticipating that soon we are going to start weekly services instead of once a month and also would like to divide the bible study group in 2 smaller groups that are going to allow growth to the church not only in number of members but in leadership  prospects too. We celebrated our first anniversary las Saturday, we had a great time sharing a special meal and of course worshiping God and listening to his voice at the time of the preaching. Hungry Church listening to God's voice through our brother Alfredo 2. Through our Diasp
