Successes and Challenges

Hello prayer warriors!
I’m glad to comeback to you for the first time this year to give you some news about out ministry.
Successes
1. Hungry Church is doing better, we were able to put together a leadership team already and also are very excited about what is coming next for the church. The multipurpose room we have at the Wired Center is already too small for the amount of people that are coming to the gatherings every Saturday. We are anticipating that soon we are going to start weekly services instead of once a month and also would like to divide the bible study group in 2 smaller groups that are going to allow growth to the church not only in number of members but in leadership  prospects too. We celebrated our first anniversary las Saturday, we had a great time sharing a special meal and of course worshiping God and listening to his voice at the time of the preaching.

2. Through our Diaspora ministry, we were able to help Oscar a guy that was sent back from the USA and doesn’t have any family support here. We have managed a place for him to stay and helped him with food, clothes and other basic supplies that he uses in his day to day life. One of our brothers from the Hungry Church was able to connect him with a Call Center where he is already being trained and soon to start a full time job. We praise God that he is taking care of Oscar in great ways through this ministry!

3. La Fuente is about to start this year in February. Do you remember the scholarship project? Praise God! Margarita is the first La Fuente student benefited with that, she is already enrolled and ready to start attending to a Christian private High school that will bring her a whole new level of education and will prepare her better for the future. We are so happy that this is happening and also hope that God will provide the funds for her to keep attending to this High School and for another student to be benefited in 2018.

We are also starting a soccer project for the kids and thanks God, Envision Coffee El Salvador will be helping to cover the transportation costs of this new project that will bring a good option on how the kids could invest their time in a healthy way. Who knows, maybe we will see a future professional soccer player coming out from La Fuente some years down the road. The idea is to keep finding ways in how to model a Christ centered life to these students.
4. Football. Two of the three teams related to our ministry in the flag football female league are in the finals! They are actually playing the final tonight (Thursday 19).
Challenges:
The low group registration from last year is billing us now and I have had to make some cuts in our budget to try to make it work, even had to cut hours to one of our staff members.
The enemy keeps fighting back hard as he sees the advance of The Kingdom through this ministry and is trying to discourage us in different ways. I feel very attacked and need your support in prayer please.
Prayer requests:
  1. For God to keep Hungry Church growing strong and reveal his plans for it in the future.
  2. For our friend Oscar, that he will do good in his Job and will start to build his new life here in El Salvador in a Godly successful way.
  3. For La Fuente in general (mostly that we will see the kids getting close to God every day) and the new soccer project.
  4. For our site finances to improve.
  5. For God to give us the faith and strength needed to resist the enemy attacks.
Thanks for always taking the time to read this updates and I hope that this will encourage you to keep interceding on our behalf before God, we need your prayer support.
