It’s pouring!

Hello, it has been a while!
Even though its has been literally pouring here in El Salvador because of the rainy season, in fact, what I really meant was that God is pouring blessings on us through all the ST teams. So far we are about halfway through our summer. By this time last year we suffered through hard times because of the lack of teams visiting our site to do ministry along side us, we began asking God for help, so once again we can say that God is faithful and has answered our prayers. And He has.
It’s been an amazing summer investing in the lives of these kids from La Fuente as we plug-in teams to work in our daily ministry that involves a lot all the different projects for La Fuente. We had the chance (with one of the teams) to go visit some of the families of these kids. It was very encouraging to hear from the mothers on how they have seen the change in their children lives and their demeanor has had a transformation since we’ve began work with them these past two years. God has been working in a great way through the team lead by Kevin that goes twice a week working diligently and consistently in sharing the hope of Jesus with these kids. Praise be to the Lord for that!
The soccer project is going great!, we have the privilege to coach the boys school soccer team for a tournament among public schools sponsored by the local police department. The last time the school team played the tournament, they did not make it out of the first round. This time they not only made it to the next round, but they won all game significantly high scores. The Soccer project has helped the La Fuente program in many of ways; including more discipline specially among the boys that (by the way) are the most difficult to work with. We received a huge blessing from a church in KY that sent us coaching equipment for our soccer project. Now we have plenty of soccer balls, vests, cones etc. Some of this equipment will also be used for our new female flag football team that will play this next up and coming season.
It is awesome to see how people coming alive through these short term trips and encountering the Lord as they come do his work here in El Salvador. People are being encouraged to go back to their communities to putting in practice all the things God showed them and taught them over the week they have been here. We have even heard someone say “ I want to reach out to the broken kids of the school I work for; through something like La Fuente”. Our hope is that God will confirm this call in this person so that more youth will hear the Gospel and bow down at the feet of Jesus, not only in El Salvador but also in the States.
With regards to interns, this has been the lowest year ever of intern’s registration. But we are so grateful to have had Griffin Wilson with us for 5 weeks helping with the teams also investing a lot in the football ministry along side Hungry Church. Thanks Griffin for everything you done and will do for the Kingdom! We also have Tou Thao with us now, a great dude that has been twice to our site before on short term trips but now is doing an internship and considering long term missions. Please pray that God will reveal his will for Tou and confirm in his heart if this is the path that the Lord has prepared for his future.
Please!, please keep us in your prayers as we go through the second half of the summer. Pray that God will strengthen us with all kind of energy we need, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Also that God will continually impact the hearts of these kids from La Fuente to move  in closer to Himself. We desire to see the change in their lives yet, we also desire to see the Lord beginning his stirring within them.
Thank you for all your love and support!
