Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi there!

Just wanted to end this year with one more update for those of you that are always interested in hearing from our site in El Salvador.

First of all thanks to all of those that were praying for our fall tour. We had a very good one. We got the chance to talk to the pastors and leaders of the different churches we were visiting. I even had the chance to co-lead worship on a Sunday at Missoula Alliance Church in Montana; it was a great time!

We pray that all the work and time invested in this tour will bring the fruit for next year’s ministry down here in El Salvador.

After the tour I had the chance to come together with my wife and son again as we attended the Stateside Gathering of Envision in Colorado Springs. It was a great and refreshing time seeing people again and getting to know some new folks from Envision around the world. Then we took 4 days to go visit a friend of my childhood in California that I haven't seen for about 14 years. We had an amazing time as a family in this short trip. Now it is time to be back at the office and get caught up with tons of emails and work stuff.

Two more pieces of information that are important for me to communicate to you all are the following:

Andrea Shetterly (Intern in charge of La Fuente) is going back to the USA for a time of rest and support raising for her next period in El Salvador, which will be a 2 year residency. We hope to see Andrea again no later than April 2017.

I want to communicate with mixed feelings that Nestor Cruz (Broken Ministries Director) is transitioning out from our ministry to work as the director of a new project in another Christian non-profit here in El Salvador. He is starting his new position on December 16 and we just want to send him with our blessing and also hope that God will take him to a new level as he serves Him with everything in his new job. So he’s officially not a staff of our Envision site from now on, however he will still remain as a member of our Hungry Church plant and will be serving with us from that standpoint.

We have a good number of groups already scheduled for next year and we are looking forward to what God has in store for us during this coming year. If you are interested in bringing a group next year please let us know. There’s still open slots for the Spring and the Fall. You can communicate with Kevin Cabrera (wireddirector@gmail.com) to let him know that you would like to do that.

Some things to pray for:

Pray that Andrea will have a great time back in the USA and that God will bless her with a good fundraising time so she can keep impacting the lives of the La Fuente kids, who we've seen a lot of change in over the last year.
Pray that God will be with Nestor and he will be a blessing for the ministry he is going to be working with.
Pray that the teams that have committed for next year will remain faithful to their commitment and we will have the chance to impact this country like never before during 2017 along with them.
Pray that God will give us wisdom to adjust as best as we can now that Nestor is not going to be with us, specially on the Broken Ministries side.

I wish you all the best during these holidays, may our Lord bless you and may you have a lot of fun with friends and family! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely

Tony Escalante
