Good News!

I’m so excited to let you know about some good news from our ministry.

Hungry Church:
Hungry Service for September
God blessed us with more people hungry for the truth!
God has been faithful and there have been some new folks that have been coming to our bible studies and services. There’s a couple that has been coming for about 2 months now and want to be baptized. Praise God! This same couple invited this one guy that came last Saturday for the first time and he publicly expressed his thankfulness to his friends who invited him. Fruits are starting to come out!

Daniel sharing his final message with
the students of La Fuente.

La Fuente:

We are so excited that we are going to be able to send at least one kid to a private high school next year! God has provided  the funds to make this possible and we continue to pray that we are going to collect the money for the second year and for some other students to have the chance to go in 2018. I also want to share with you the great news that 2 of the students from La Fuente made a decision for Christ about a week ago at a local church. We know that this is not only the work from La Fuente in their lives but we feel so good that God is using us to shine his light to these kids.

We have seen the need of opening another La Fuente here in our neighborhood. We hope we can do it some time next year.

Envision Coffee El Salvador:

I also want to share with you that Envision Coffee El Salvador made it’s first donation of $100 to the ministry. This is big since the purpose of these businesses we run is to support the ministry in a financial way. Alleluia!

Answers to prayers from the fasting week.

God has been revealing his mercy to us and there are churches that are inquiring about possible trips for next year, some others already booked a trip, and there’s even interest to help from people in Australia. We are hoping that the deficit will decrease towards the end of the year and we will not finish as bad as we thought. God is good! Please keep praying.

Residents.

Hungry Bible Study praying for Daniel at his last study.
Daniel Duda, a resident that spent 3 years with us and also a person that has been a tremendous help not only in the finances area but in the Hungry church, went back to the States to start seminary, get married and follow the new projects that God has put in his heart. Being a part of Envision helped him to confirm his call to missions and now he’s going to get prepared to be a church planter through his baptist denomination. Please pray for him and bless him as he starts this new adventure in his life.

Laura Rodriguez is still needing some financial support to be able to be released and comeback to El Salvador. We need her down here! Please pray that the money and pledges will come quickly.

Great news! We want to celebrate that Andrea Shetterly has made the decision to pursue a residency as well after receiving confirmation from God that He wants her to keep working with us. She’s been a great help with La Fuente and it is good that the kids will be able to have her for longer now. Pray that the process to switch from Intern to Resident will go smoothly and that the funds will come for her to be able to come back for 2 years.

Finally I want to share with you that myself and Kevin Cabrera will be coming on a tour to some churches in the US. Please pray that God will put his favor on us, that we will speak his truth, and also that we will cast the vision of our ministry so well that people will be able to understand and engage in this ministry with us.

Some other prayer requests:

1. We need a pastor for Hungry Church

2. For residents that would like to come and help us to start La Fuente here at Colonia Centroamerica. There’s a group of kids that really need a program like this here.

3. Also pray for God to provide more funds for the scholarship program.

Thanks so much!

Tony Escalante
