The Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few

About a week ago I was talking to Nestor Cruz (Broken Ministries Coordinator) and he was telling me about how God little by little is changing the hearts of some of the players of the Jaguars, the football team we have the biggest relationship with since Ness is their Offensive Coach but in the practice more like their Head Coach now. Very encouraging stories even from a guy that used to be anti-christians and now he’s looking forward to prayer times during games, travels, or when they go out to give food away to the homeless through our ministry partners of Mission to El Salvador.

I get excited when hearing these stories and I know that is the result of all your continuing prayers for our ministry. I don't know about American Football so I asked Ness, "What’s the number of basic coaches that a team should have?" then he listed to me at least 5 and he’s pretty much covering all of them, it’s a lot of work!

That immediately made me think of this passage: Matthew 9:36-38. Let’s think for a few minutes in this, if God is doing all of this with only one man, I told Ness “ imagine if we had at least 5 coaches that are solid christians that would help with this ministry? ” That would be 5 times the impact that God is doing right now, Wow!

No need to create a whole argument to let you know that we are needing football coaches. If you like football, have been a coach for high school, college or even for middle school in The States and want to tell people about Jesus and how to walk with him to eternal life, this is the place for you. Come on an internship or preferably a residency to let God impact the lives of these folks through you. Now, if you don’t have these skills but would like to help you can do 2 things: 1. “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” 2. support a worker for him/her to come to the harvest.

We also would like to open a second La Fuente program at the neighborhood where our ministry center is located. I will talk to you about that in a later update.

Some prayer requests:

1. Coaches for our Football Outreach Ministry

2. Keep praying for our finances to improve so we have enough funds to keep up with the operations of our site and as a result keep running these different ministries.

3. There’s a potential client for Envision Coffee in El Salvador that I have to present a price proposal. Pray that he’s going to accept it and we can start to do business selling him coffee for his offices.

4. For God to give us wisdom to make good decisions in terms of using the resources we actually have to finish the year and hopefully start the coming one.

5. For God to start to recruit the hearts that will be coming to help our ministry next year (Groups, interns, and residents)

We appreciate your prayers and your giving to our ministry. Jah bless!
