LIFE 2016

How are you? I hope God is blessing you with his grace and mercy everyday.

Just wanting to bring you up to speed with things at our site. We had a small group from Missoula, Montana a couple of weeks ago. We had an amazing time with them. They were able to visit the different programs working under the Broken Ministry. It was an awesome time for us and for them to get to know first hand what happens day to day in this. They left very encouraged and planned to put some thoughts together to make some partnership suggestions to their church leadership. We are excited about the idea of enhancing this relationship with Missoula Alliance Church, MT and to see what God has in store for both sides.

In other news, we want to let you know that for the first time Kevin Cabrera and I are attending the LIFE Conference in Kansas City.  (The LIFE Conference is a national CM&A youth conference that happens every three years.)  It’s been a huge blessing to see people that we know already from trips to El Salvador and meeting new folks as they come and stop by our Envision El Salvador booth. We are very thankful to God that he allowed us to come and we are happy to make more connections with other brothers and sisters that are interested in our ministry in ESA.

Some prayer requests:
  • For God’s will in determining how our partnership with Missoula Alliance Church is going to look and that both Envision El Salvador and Missoula Alliance Church are blessed through the partnership.
  • For the staff in El Salvador, that God protects us from any evil around us and that He will always provide for our needs. Also, please pray that we walk closer to the Lord everyday as we are his disciples.
  • For the different programs of Broken: La Fuente (the after school program), Hungry Church, Football Outreach and Diaspora (that God will move the process to start partnering with the government soon).
  • Pray for a couple that I had the chance to meet with at LIFE.  They are interested in coming to El Salvador to serve as pastors for the Hungry Church.  I’m personally excited about this idea and beg you to pray for God to reveal his answer to them in a way that removes any doubt of what they are being called into.

We are praising God for:
  • A very successful and encouraging time at LIFE 2016.  Kevin, Tony and Butch and Barb Volle were able to share the vision of Envision El Salvador with thousands of folks, young and old.  We were able to raise funds for the La Fuente scholarship program by selling every piece of coffee bean jewelry made by the kids.  We had some great conversations with folks about short term teams coming and about internships.  We are praising God for He is good!

Thanks for taking the time to read this update and as always we appreciate your prayers so much!  - Tony
