READY FOR GROUPS

Hi friends, How are you?

Last week we had our staff training week. We had a great time learning and remembering the different aspects, roles and important information we are to know when we work with groups. This was a time used also to get to know each other better since most of the time we are together only during work hours.  It was fun discovering new things about each other and to work together in the different physical and mental challenges of the training.
Envision El Salvador Staff (except Kevin who is taking the picture) ready to go down into the crater of the Volcano of San Salvador as part of the physical challenges of training week

We are getting ready to receive our next group.  A small but very important group of brothers and sisters from Missoula Alliance Church in Montana.  They are coming to learn more about what God is doing through us in El Salvador and they are also looking to enhance the relationship between their church and our site.  We are excited about hosting them here and working alongside them for our Lord.

In regards to the intern’s house, Hamilton Martinez (our attorney) had the chance to talk to one of the owners of the house.  She said that they are still working on resolving the inheritance issue and that they are going to be able to determine if they can sell the house or not over the next week. Meanwhile, I’m looking for some other options.

Diaspora is going full force.  It’s the very first time in our existence as Envision El Salvador that we are able to launch a ministry of Broken with so many people interested in volunteering; willing to go and serve others, and you know what is the best part of all of this? They are Salvadorans! It’s incredible! The history has been that folks from the States come to start ministries along with the Salvadoran staff which means there are just a few on the team. Diaspora has the potential to become a huge program that will minister to returning brothers and sisters in many different ways, mainly on the spiritual side. It’s also the first time in our history that we are going to directly work alongside the government.  So it has much potential to become a game changer for a lot of people who don't have any hope when they arrive in this country. We are very excited!

Please pray for:
  1. God to continue to open the necessary doors for Diaspora so the ministry will be developed in a successful way in a manner that will bring Glory to Him.
  2. That God will clearly allow us to get this intern’s house or move us towards the one he has prepared for us. Our ministry is growing and we definitely need housing.
  3. For protection and good health for all of our staff as we start the summer group season.
  4. For God to use those from out site attending the LIFE Conference to be able to broadcast the vision of the site and find partners that will be willing to invest in different ways in the ministries of Envision El Salvador.
  5. Pray for all of our programs: La Fuente, Hungry Church (we are still looking for an English speaking pastor), Football outreach, Diaspora and also our businesses Envision Coffee and Wired Transportes.

Thanks for your prayers and support!
