Envision El Salvador’s vision is to change families by transforming their hearts in the name of Christ.  Lives are being changed and the enemy is not happy.

Gloria
Gloria has been a faithful employee of Envision El Salvador since the very beginning.  Gloria is a hard working, single mom who loves the Lord and serves Him humbly.  She wears many hats at the Wired Center.  She has recently begun working with La Fuente.  Gloria is cooking the kids’ lunch every Monday and Thursday as well as leading a craft class on Mondays.  Gloria is making a difference in these kids’ lives.  Because of this, she has been given a few major life challenges.  We know where these attacks are coming from.  Please pray for Gloria, that God will give her strength, courage and peace.  Please pray that God will protect Gloria and her son, Michael.

Do you remember back in early March, we told you about the Gold Rush Girls’ and their desire to make a difference in lives here in El Salvador.  They started going to ISNA to spend time with and love on some kids.  (ISNA is a place where the Salvadoran government houses boys that were found in the streets or have been in trouble or are being abused in their own homes.)

We want to report to you PRAISES that are coming from this effort.  The youth that drew those dark pictures depicting death and suicide has a new attitude.  Rather than being withdrawn from the others, this past Wednesday, he was playing soccer and having fun being a part of the activity.   He shared a very large grin with us and our hearts rejoiced.

During our visits, some of the kids play soccer or some other sport.  But for the kids who are not interested much in sports, we draw and color.  It gives us great insight into some of their thoughts.  This past Wednesday, one of our girls drew a poster type picture that read “Jesus me ama” which means Jesus loves me.  One of the boys asked her if he could have it.  This started a whole series of writing things like Jesus is love, God is my protector, God is my hope, etc.  Praise God, this has opened a door for us and for the next visit we will take Bible verses to share with them.  Please pray that this will lead to the opportunity to share a brief devotion.  We want to instill the love of God into their lives.

Please pray:
  1. For Tony, Claudia and Diego.
  2. For Gloria and Michael.
  3. For the other staff as they too are coming under attack.
  4. For the Gold Rush girls as they minister to the boys at ISNA.  And for the boys who live at the facility.
  5. For Sarah, a new intern arriving on Monday.
  6. For the house next door to Wired, that God will make it available for our female interns to reside in.
