UP TO SPEED!

Hello Friends!

We would like to bring you up to speed on some of the most important things going on at our Envision El Salvador Site.

First off, we want to share with you that Patty Barnett (HR Director) will be leaving our staff, which is very sad for us.  She has been struggling with some health issues related to her lungs and lately with her liver. She left for the States in July 2015, for training and then for medical treatments.  Our leadership in Colorado Springs, along with our Site Coordinator, have determined that is better for Patty to resign her Site Associate position and to stay in the States which allows her to keep up with doctor’s appointments, treatments and follow ups until she gets fully recovered (which might take some time). She has been an amazing help to us during the couple of years she served here and we would love to have her back.  Only God knows what is best for her future. She will begin looking for a job in Missoula, Montana and to settle back into her place. She would love to keep working in a ministry related job (especially working with and helping people).  If you know of a position she could apply for, please let her know!  Her email is mtmissb@gmail.com.

Recreation at La Fuente

In other notes, La Fuente 2016 kicked off Thursday, February 4! It was great, 51 students came to the kick-off event (we ended 2015 with around 18 kids, which was a great number since we started with around 7 students mid year).  So, praise God for that!  La Fuente this year will include physical education and homework help for the students. This ministry is growing fast and we are very grateful to God for that.

We are still looking for some professional help to advise/help us increase Envision Coffee sales in the US.  Don’t forget that coffee sales are huge for us because all proceeds go directly to support the ministries of Broken which includes La Fuente, Hungry Church and the Football Outreach.

We ask that you please pray for:

1.  Patty, that she will be healed soon from her health challenges. Pray for her to find a job (ministry related) in the States and for her transition to be smooth.

2.  the purchase of the interns house next door (there is a full blog update that talks about this project that was published on 1/15/16, if you would like more information about it.  http://envisionelsalvador.blogspot.com/)

3.  La Fuente, there is one of the teachers (a lady) at the school that has been discouraging some kids about coming to the program, even before it got started. Pray that God will soften her heart and for Him to reveal Himself to her and bring her to His kingdom.

4.  Andrea Shetterly who is an intern that will be arriving in March to specifically work at La Fuente, that God will move through her and will do His work in the heart of these kids.
