Drawing from la fuente/the spring of living water

Image
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water (in Spanish "la fuente") welling up to eternal life.” Our Site Our final team of the busy season has come and gone, and our site is slowly returning to our normal routine, including updating all of our prayer warriors! So far this year, we have hosted 14 teams! We praise God for all of the churches who boldly and faithfully sent teams to partner with us in ministry. We would like to lift up all praise to the Lord for how what he is already doing through these teams looking to the longer term. After their week-long stay here at the start of the summer, Wellspring Alliance Church in Wheaton, Illinois will be officially partnering with us to support our site. We are so grateful for God's provision and for how He has connected these two ministries! Our faci...

Fighting not against flesh and blood

Greetings faithful partners in prayer! It is with great enthusiasm that we share with you some updates from Envision Wired and we humbly ask you to lift up this ministry in prayer. We are about to hit the thick of team season and we are anticipating a crazy, busy, exciting and fruitful season. The Spirit has been poured out upon us and we are treading on fertile ground. (Isaiah 32:15) We recently prepared our staff for this season with a training where we went over various details and expectations for this time. We are asking God for energy and for wisdom during this busy season. Our hearts yearn to see Him at work and we ask that He use us to bless others as we evangelize and reach out to Salvadoran youth and kids. As we're writing this, we are currently hosting Wheaton Chinese Alliance and Wellspring Alliance Churches (pictured below) who are working alongside a local middle school and youth development program. Tony's trip to Kentucky went very well. Thank you...

"MAY the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him..."

We can't believe that May is already upon us! We have so much to share with you all about how the Lord has been working here in San Salvador. Our site Our first team of the season arrived on May 3rd. We are now hosting 8 students from Simpson University for three weeks, and what a blessing them have been to our site and our teens! These students are now teaching our math, art and english classes as well as leading our daily devotionals. The teens love meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones. It's amazing to see how God works across language barriers! Last weekend, the team ventured out of the city to the Santa Ana Volcano, which they gladly climbed, despite the heat and the humidity. We are currently working on registering our ministry as a youth development program with the National Council for Childhood and Adolescence (CONNA). El Salvador has various laws that protect minors and we are hoping to do everything we can to keep our teens and staf...

Spurring One Another On

Image
Hello Friends! Hebrews 10:24-25 says "And let us consider how we many spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching." We are excited to share with you some updates about how we have felt spurred on by the Lord, our partners and the body of Christ! Our Site First, we want to give all praise to God for providing a house for our interns! We officially purchased the house and we have four interns living there. We are currently developing a campaign to find churches and individuals who are willing to partner with us long term to pay for the mortgage. Please prayerfully consider partnership with us, and contact Tony at escalantet@weareenvision.com for more information. We also want to let you all know that because of the Lord's faithful provision, Crosspoint Community Church in Wisconsin has joined us in partnersh...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Envision El Salvador!

Hello Everyone! We wanted to stop by and let you know what are the latest news at our Envision Site. The fall tour went very well, we had the chance to visit 15 churches total and share about what God is doing through our ministry here. We thank God for his care to us (Kevin and my family) through all the people that were in charge of the different events at churches and the ones we had the privilege to be hosted by at their own houses, it was awesome and we were very well taken care. Big Thanks to all of those families! La Fuente: We had a very good year at La Fuente. It’s always hard to keep a good percentage of the kids registered in the program through out the year, but this year we ended up with at least 85% of the kids that started to come to the program since the beginning of the year, so Praise God for that!  A new phase is starting in 2018. As of the end of this year, the program was taking place at a public school that we partner with but we were on...
