LIFE 2016

Image
How are you? I hope God is blessing you with his grace and mercy everyday. Just wanting to bring you up to speed with things at our site. We had a small group from Missoula, Montana a couple of weeks ago. We had an amazing time with them. They were able to visit the different programs working under the Broken Ministry. It was an awesome time for us and for them to get to know first hand what happens day to day in this. They left very encouraged and planned to put some thoughts together to make some partnership suggestions to their church leadership. We are excited about the idea of enhancing this relationship with Missoula Alliance Church, MT and to see what God has in store for both sides. Tony and Kevin sharing the vision of Envision El Salvador In other news, we want to let you know that for the first time Kevin Cabrera and I are attending the LIFE Conference in Kansas City.   (The LIFE Conference is a national CM&A youth conference that happens every ...

READY FOR GROUPS

Image
Hi friends, How are you? Last week we had our staff training week. We had a great time learning and remembering the different aspects, roles and important information we are to know when we work with groups. This was a time used also to get to know each other better since most of the time we are together only during work hours.   It was fun discovering new things about each other and to work together in the different physical and mental challenges of the training. Envision El Salvador Staff (except Kevin who is taking the picture) ready to go down into the crater of the Volcano of San Salvador as part of the physical challenges of training week We are getting ready to receive our next group.   A small but very important group of brothers and sisters from Missoula Alliance Church in Montana.   They are coming to learn more about what God is doing through us in El Salvador and they are also looking to enhance the relationship between their church and our site. ...

STARTING GROUP SEASON

Image
Hello everyone, We have been blessed in starting this year’s group season with a good group from Simpson University. The Simpson U World Serve team were the folks who started our La Fuente program at the public school in Colonia Costa Rica, San Salvador a year ago. After seeing the great impact made by La Fuente in the students’ lives, we decided that we wanted to continue this program and make it an official program of our Broken ministry. This is an important reason why groups coming to serve in our country are so important. The Simpson group has been working with the kids for over 2 weeks now and will stay for a total of 3 full weeks. It’s been great to see them come alive as they serve these kids and encounter God in many different ways. Their faith has been strengthened and their relationship with God is being improved as they find more about God’s love and the power of the Scriptures.  For me as the Site Coordinator, hearing them talk about these things during ou...

EXCITING NEWS

Image
Hello brothers and sisters, This week I would like to share with you some great news. God is working in our ministry in big ways and is letting us know that we are to continue to endure in the battle that comes with doing his work in our different programs/ministries. Claudia and Diego First off, I want to let you know that my son, Diego (almost 17 days old now) is growing and very healthy.   I’m so happy that God has shown us His love in such a way to Claudia and I, through sending this amazing and beautiful baby into our lives. Now, I have some ministry updates: 1.   La Fuente is growing.   We have the vision of expanding this program in a way that will eventually support kids that have no chance to go to a private high school after they leave this public school (which only teaches up to 9th grade). The great thing about this is that we potentially have the chance to partner with a Christian private school that is nearby the public school where La F...
